USB Host Shield not providing enough power with Arduino Uno R3

I think the Arduino Uno doesn't deliver enough power to the mouse.

I have a USB Host Shield, it has as MAX3421E TJ114 USB controller. I'm using an off-brand Arduino Uno R3 (Funduino). I have soldered the 3v3, 5v and 5v USB pads.

I now have tried 3 different office mice and 1 of them flashes (the sensor at the bottom) when you turn it on or off.

I have also tried a lot of different power supplies, I've tried one with 6 AA batteries, a 9V battery, a 12V 1A power supply, a 12V 5A power supply (destroyed one of my Arduinos after I shorted it).

All them had the same outcome, it would flash that mouse.

Nothing is working and I would love some help with this.
