USB HOST SHIELD

Hello everyone,
I am quite new to arduino, I have a sensor which sends data serially through usb port, I need to fetch the data serially into arduino mega 2560. One solution that I came to know is to use USB Host shield, but dont know how to use it, I mean anybody has clue of a code which might be helpful to me.

Thanks in advance.

Not without knowing what sensor.

Most of the info is here https://www.circuitsathome.com/

the linked to libs have examples using coms to many device types, look at the device when installed on your pc for a clue to what it is, if not evident mine had a big clue in its name indicating it used the same coms ADK as this example https://www.circuitsathome.com/mcu/android-adk-terminal-emulator-for-arduino#more-6353..
