"Select lines"? The USB standard has for lines defined...
Pin 1 VCC (+5 V, red wire)
Pin 2 Data? (white wire)
Pin 3 Data+ (green wire)
Pin 4 Ground (black wire)
Which of those do you believe is "select"?
