I recently dug my seeduino out of storage after using it for a project, and attempted to connect to it with USB. I received an error telling me that the device has malfunctioned. if there is anything I can do to solve this it would be greatly appreciated, as I don't have the funds to purchase another.
ps: there is no apparent damage to the board.
Can you post the exact error message so we can see if this is coming from the computer's operating system (what is it?) or the Arduino environment.
Have you tried a second USB cable?
Have you tried a different USB port on the same computer?
What operating system is running on the computer?
Have you tried a second computer?
The Diecimila requires a jumper change to be USB powered. Does the Seeeduino have a similar jumper? Have you set it correctly?
Attempted with a new cable (camera cable with large cylinder abut halfway down, if that's any trouble) Seems to be working, apart from corrupt drivers that need redownloading.
60MB download + 56k internet = ewww.
Edit: downloaded drivers from chipset site, and its working perfectly
Thanks for the help
