I was wondering if it is possible to use the Arduino UNO as a PC USB modem. My PC has just lost its old network card and has no Wi-Fi access. Would it be feasible to connect the Arduino Ethernet Shield to the the modem, and then connect the Arduino to the PC via USB to provide Internet Access?

Unless someone has made a driver for the computer that makes the computer think that a wifi-dongle is connected and meanwhile everything translates for the Arduino. As far as I know something like that does not exist.
You can buy USB WIFI modules that plug straight into a USB port of any computer to provide WIFI access.
