Hi,
i can't find the USB specs for the Arduinos - 1.1 or 2.0?
I want to use a USB via CAT line extender but the extender is only 1.1.
The other question is: If connect to USB the Arduino gets 5 Volt from USB.
But I can feed 12 Volt into Vin at the same time?

Don't all USB 2.0 devices support fallback to USB 1.1? If so, it doesn't matter.

Yes. You can use Vin and USB at the same time. On the UNO the USB power is disconnected if the Vin power is above 6.6V.
Thank you.
I'm curious because i can't find info about the USB specs.
But i think it doesn't matter cause the speed is only serial speed.
Just to let everybody know.
The Arduino is now connected with a USB/CAT line extender over 10 meter CAT6
from the boiler room to my workstation PC.
Works without problems.
So no need to bring the laptop into the boiler room and to work there
