USB stopped working - solved

Hi all,

this message originally contained a request for help. I edited the message in hope that it may help others who experience a similar problem. It is for the Robot but it may work for other boards too.

Problem

After some days, the USB port of the upper part (Control) suddenly stopped working properly. The computer got read errors and finally gave up. The LED/RX kept emitting orange light. Reset and restart did not help. This is the output of dmesg:

Solution

The following words from The Guide saved my day:

Press the upload button. When the status bar shows “Uploading…”, double press the reset button on the Control Board

I don’t know, what exactly was wrong and why this solution fixes it, but it’s a fairly easy solution.
