I can't find anyone on CNC forums that have had this problem. My CNC machine has an Uno. When I plug it in to my computer (windows 10, USB 3.0) it causes an USB surge warning and shuts down the port. From what I can tell the Uno is powered by the USB and the rest of the machine is powered from a power supply. Could I have a short? Or is there a USB setting I'm missing? I have reinstalled the usb drivers and followed the Dell troubleshooting guide(Dell g3). Any help or insight would be appreciated. I'm sure I've forgotten a detail that would help let me know if you think of anything and I will provide. Thank You!
Problem solved! Bypassed an internal USB extension and all is well. Just a bad extension cable.
