Use arduino to make a wireless usb 'cable'

I have a usb webcam (it's this one) and I want to make it wireless with arduino. My idea is simple: 2 arduinos with bluetooth connection (or another wireless communication) that exchange data (data+ and data-). On one side connected to a host (a computer or something else) and on the other side my webcam.

Could this work?

Thanks in advance!

For what distance?

Which ones?

For real time video, hardly. Still pictures, yes.

  1. About 10 meters?
  2. Doesn't really matter, I was thinking about nano esp32.
  3. I can try...

Bluetooth 10M sounds dicey, WiFi would be ok though.

USB is difficult, but wireless serial ports are simple. You can buy ready made dongles for that.

Buy a cheap IP cam or get linux capable SBC.

that is honestly the best choice in my opinion.

Where can I find that?

The search phrases "wireless serial dongle" or "wireless serial adapter" will find lots of interesting examples.

For example, can I just buy two Logitech mouse adapters?

Sure you can .. one for the left mouse and one for the right mouse.
