Use ESP32 to activate the touch switch on the lamp

Hi! I have a desk lamp that's controlled by an inline touch switch (capacitive switch I guess). And I would like to use an ESP32 to turn it on and off wirelessly.

The challenge is to have the ESP32 "simulate" a touch that activates the touch switch and toggle the lamp on/off. I've tried this tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XMZrUPBt-7M, but it doesn't seem to work.

Can anyone suggest other ways that I can activate that touch switch?

Post a schematic of switch and make and model number.

I'm not sure of the specific type, here is a link to the lamp I'm using: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C64YK51V?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1

Will this help?

Sorry it will not. I believe it is possible to replace the control with an ESP8266 and a DC compatible solid state relay. From what I read you have a 12V setup in the lamp itself.
