Use MOSFET to power LEDs

I'm trying to use a MOSFET transistor, a PWM output from the Arduino, and a 12V power supply to control the LED strip.

I need to create a circuit that would allow this to happen before I even consider working on the code.

Anyone care to guide me in the right direction?

The picture shows a suitable mosfet with a low threshold voltage.
Ok for 3volt gate drive.

The link gets me to a non-logic level AOT462.
That mosfet is not going to work with 3.3volt (or 5volt) logic.
