Guys, it is recommended to use a fuse to protect the ac/cd module of the hi-link HLK-5M05, can I use a PPTC instead?
If yes, how do I select it?
When it comes to AC input, it is always wise to add a fuse on the AC input side, use a fast blow low amperage fuse.
example, you might select a 500mA fuse on a 120VAC input.
The output of the power supply isn’t usually fused for low current draw < 2 amps.
Would it be important to put an electrolytic capacitor at the output?
The datasheet of the module states that the output is already current protected.
A cap on the output is only needed if the load varies a lot.
You didn't say anything about input source or load, so we can only guess if a fuse is needed.
A polyfuse has some resistance, which could make output volage unstable when used at the output of the module. It will likely be ok at the input of the module.
Note that a polyfuse is sloooow, so might not protect the way you expect.

Can't you power that from the Arduino you're driving it with?

How much memory do you think you need for that display.

It's something very simple, it reads a value from AD and displays it on the screen, only transmitted
Recommended fuse value and output cap are in the datasheet, page 7.
