Hi.
I recently tought about making a racing sim, with steering wheel and all it needs. The only problem is that i have some of those cheap arduinos, with the CH340 USB comunication or whatever that is(I am sorry but i don't realy know much about this kind of stuff).
After some research i found out that i can make a controler with Unojoy. The only problem is the ch340 and that it is not programable so i can change the firmwere or something like that. My question is that is it possible in some way to use maybe 2 or 3 boards, wired together, and program one of them to act like a usb comunication stuff. Basicly changing the firmwere on one bord to the unojoy, and use the other board as a main programable microproc? Sorry for my bad english😅. Thanks a lot.
Without knowing your skill set and resources I need to say no.
What are those resources? And what skillset do you mean? I am at the beginning, and i am still learning, si if you could direct me to what topic should i learn, it would be very helpful. I am also at university and i am learning arduino there, but i don't know what to ask, so maybe you could tell me something more. I would be very grateful. Or at least if it is even possible
You need a board with 16U2 instead of a CH340. If you're planning to buy another board, go for an Arduino Leonardo or Micro or a SparkFun ProMicro.
I see. I do not have a 16u2. I think about buying an lonardo, but is kinda hard to get them around me, and i dont realy have time to wait 2 weeks. I hoped there is a way to use the 4 boards i already have, but if that is not possible, i will get a leonardo or 16u2 uno. Thank you for your help.
To do what you want myself and many other users could do it without a problem as we have the skill set (experience, electronics background, programming, understanding of the terms etc.) We also have the resources such as an SMD work station, soldering iron, assorted tools test equipment etc. You indicated that you do not have that in your question. This was confirmed when you said: "The only problem is that i have some of those cheap arduinos, with the CH340 USB comunication or whatever that is(I am sorry but i don't realy know much about this kind of stuff)." Then there is the mechanical side, that is not my thing but others here can help you.
