Then use the Vcc pin instead of the Vin/RAW (exact naming varies between boards). That way you bypass the regulator.

I am sorry about this, I had an issue with the original message displaying lots of strange characters (it looked like html code...probably an issue with an URL but I couldn't find the origin of the issue), so I deleted the message for me to work it out, as the message seemed to be unreadable, and I didn't know you were writing a quote at that time.
