Just noticed that many user icons appear to have been changed to identical 'generic' types. The individual original icons are very handy (even simple ones automatically generated like my own simple T) so hopefully just a temporary glitch?

Thanks, very nice! But I was quite happy with the simple one generated without any involvement from me. I've now found the appropriate dialogue and changed it.
But the main benefit for me was spotting some of the contributors I recognised. The (sudden?) appearance of many 'generics' leaves me guessing.

Or if your initial is indeed T as well, then you could play on a mirroring idea that the T looks like a 1 and it's opposite in the mirror and get a 2 on both side. Shift all this to the lower side of the circle to make room for your North Star (whatever that is) at the top could be nice too

Now I'm torn. The T I stole has a story behind it. It already has meaning to me. I somehow became attached to it.
On the other hand, you created a 2112 avatar specifically for me. I consider this as a gift that I graciously accept.

On a side note: I do not believe anyone recognized my original avatar. It was an image of a BOLO battlefield. BOLO was a Mac appleshare tank game from the '90s. I was obsessed with BOLO back then. I would host "BYOM BOLO Blowouts" where friends came with Mac II in hand on a Saturday afternoon and sometimes not leave until sundown Sunday.
