i would really recommend to have a delete button that allows the users to delete their post when they find it's unnecessary post !
You can delete a post - but please don't do so if it means that useful information is unavailable to others - including, perhaps examples where you make a silly mistake. They are often the cases which are most useful for teaching.
You can't delete a Thread, and I don't think you should be able to.

Agree with Robin2, deleting posts "crash" the logic of a thread as references become meaningless and the effort other people spent to (help to) solve your question can be thrown away.
you can always report your post to the moderators for deletion. Most of the time there is a moderator on-line so it will not take days (except in some other language fora) to be removed.
what I can imagine is that if you post you would have a short time-frame e.g. max 30 seconds to remove your own post.
Sorry guys, meant the Thread not the Posts i corrected it, but sometimes we make very silly mistakes and we corrected it at out own at the end, i wanted to delete threads but i can't so what i did is i post the Solution
Posting the solution is an excellent idea - even (or especially) when the problem seems silly when the solution is known.
You can use the Report to Moderator link to request a Thread be deleted.

yes i am posting the Notes same as in my notebook in the solution for others not to make the silly mistakes

You should check your thread makes sense before you start it anyway.
For some users that would make a huge difference in the number of posts and threads they have.
I'm against people deleting posts, because that wrecks threads.
And perhaps even posts that have answers shouldn't be allowed to be altered in such way that the original text can be deleted, because of the same reason.
So those posts could be amended to add some information, or the original text could be crossed like this, but still be legible so the thread doesn't get badly screwed up.

It's very annoying to reply to a question and have the question disappear. I suppose you could let people delete a post if there is no reply, but how do you know if, on the other side of the world, someone has just spent half an hour typing up a lengthy reply, only to find the question disappears just before they post it?
I agree with the others - if you find a solution to your own question, post it! Then you might help someone else in the future.
well yea you are totally right good point, i did not think of that possibility
