So, as the subject says, I was wondering if it is possible to use the MKR1010 as WiFi adapter that can be plugged into one of the USB ports on a regular desktop. I know that there are projects related to using this type of board as an AP or a WiFi repeater, but I'm wondering if you can interface it directly with a desktop à la a WiFi antenna? Thanks for any help or knowledge you guys can provide on this.
Sounds like a uniquely bad idea. 
(Since) There are purpose-built adaptors to do that, no sense spending wasting a lot of time and some money imitating them when you clearly have no experience in the protocols (or even if you did!).
