Using Arduino Displays

I have an SDCard attached to my arduino and would like to open a *.rtf document and edit it using the standard screen. Is there a java program available that allows me to read and edit a basic word type document. I suppose the easiest way to understand what I am trying to do is to say that I want a Notepad type program that I can run from my arduino.

I'm confused... Arduino doesn't run Java, it runs compiled C or C++.

Editing an RTF file on an SD card is something you'd do on a PC with a USB SD card reader and Wordpad, I'm not sure how Arduino fits into this picture?
