Using arduino and windows 11 s

recently started using a windows 11 s device and had no problem running arduino uno for a couple weeks. let it sit for a week and came back to it and unable to even verify a sketch without this error.. (i can still use the serial monitor and see its running the last sketch)

Arduino: 1.8.19 (Windows Store 1.8.57.0) (Windows 10), Board: "Arduino Uno"

fork/exec C:\Users\david\Documents\ArduinoData\packages\arduino\tools\avr-gcc\7.3.0-atmel3.6.1-arduino7/bin/avr-g++.exe: Your organization used Device Guard to block this app. Contact your support person for more info.

I've never seen that message being reported. Did you contact your support person?

If it's a private PC, maybe there's something in Your organization used Device Guard to block this app. Contact your support person for more info - Google Search. I'm not using Win11 so can't help much further.

One advise would be to get rid of the store version and use a normal installation or a portable install.

windows 11 s makes me use the microsoft app store, it did work for a while fine.
private computer, no organization associated to me did anything.

i can still watch the serial monitor, the sketch in it is running.

You very likely need to disable device guard. It probably got triggered by a 3rd party app reacting to an update.
There is no published method for windows 11, but a guide for 10 ought to do the trick.
Then check defender and AV settings.
