Im working on a project that utilizes 8 motors to vibrate at different times depending on an input. My ideal setup would primary consists of an Arduino Mega and 2 adafruit motor shields. Will the 8 motors be too much for the mega to handle?
No. The motor shields will handle the motors, You could do this with an Uno as well. The real questions is what motors? The motor shields only go up to 12V and an amp or two so you need to make sure your power supply can deliver that much as well as the motor shield handling whatever power the motors want.
