Using Arduino to send keypress with a Keyboard PCB

I am trying to use the arduino to send the 'space' character on a PS2 keyboard to the PC it is connected to. I have taken apart and old PS2 keyboard and traced the circuit so that I know which to pins when touched together cause the PC to receive a 'space' character.

How would I wire this up to the Arduino? My electronics knowledge is very limited.

PS2 is just a form of serial protocol, you can drive it direct rather than needing a physical keyboard. There is a library called PS2dev or ps2dev that enables just this I think.

A transistor might work, depending on the voltages inside the keyboard.

An "analog switch" chip will definitely work.
