Using Arduino with EL Escudo Dos to make flicker El Wire

Sorry if this is in the wrong section, please move it if it is.
I'm building a diorama of a Star Wars Podracer and I'm wanting to use three El Wire to flicker independently of each other to create the energy binders. They'll only be about 3-5 inches each. Can I do this with the Arduino Uno R3 and a EL Escudo Dos? I'll already have a 3v wire inverter and use a 9v plugged into the Arduino? If so, what would the programming be for it? Sorry, I'm still sorta new to the Arduino.

Why?

What's wrong with it? It needs to be battery powered because it'll be on a shelf and I can't plug it into the wall. Do you recommend something better?

What voltage do your EL drivers require?

I'll be using 3 strands of El Wire that will be about 4 inches in length. Under 3v. The inverter is rated at 3v.

So why on earth would you use a 9 V battery? :astonished:

An 8 MHz Pro Mini (vastly more practical than a horrible UNO) runs on 3 V. :+1:

Why? Because that's what I own already and like I said before I don't know that much about Arduino and I don't even know what a pro mini is. If I can't use the Uno then I'm just gonna scrap the whole project. Can it be done or not, if not then please let me know and I'll scrap this project but I really would like to pull this off.

Also I might be running 4 more strands of El Wire about 1 inch each or 4 blinking LEDs for the engines but I haven't decided on that yet.
