using bluethooth with arduino

hey guys,i wanted to make a robot automatically come to the user who is in some other room.i was thinking of pairing the user and the robot using hc-05.then by using the signal strength the robot could find its way .this method requires a lot of trial and error :'( is there a better way .thanks in advance

The signal strength is not much of a guide for anything, and certainly not for mapping out a 2 dimensional path.

I'm afraid I can't think how you might achieve what you want.

i was thinking the robot could move in all four directions one by one (by trial and error)and continue moving in the direction the signal strength is more than the previous reading (as strength increases ,the distance reduces0.will this work (even though it would take a long time).thanks in advance
