Using ESP32 with IP5306 (I2C) - Power Management and Voltage Protection

Hi Sherman,

I’ve just checked the official IP5306-I2C datasheet and I found that in the typical application circuit, R6 and R7 are connected to BAT (these are external pull-ups, so I understand you are right and there are no internal pull-ups). So, on that side, we should be fine.

I am concerned about the connections (I hired someone to check if everything was okay, and they told me the circuit was fine; that by using the 3V3 input as a reference for those pins instead of BAT, the module would use it as a reference and there should be no problems). Is this correct?

Regarding the test circuits, how could I make one with such a small module? I have a manual soldering iron, but I don't know how to solder SMD since the components are very small. That’s why (after ordering several versions of my PCB that didn't work) I am making sure point by point in my designs.

I have lost a lot of time and money trying to design these boards, and that is why I want to thank you immensely for your help (as it has been very useful in other threads).
