Using ESP8266 + ZMPT101B to measure ACV up to 500V

Hi, newbie here.

I would like to measure voltage using ESP8266 and ZMPT101B but most tutorials mentioned it can measure up to 250V only.

Is there any safe way to allow higher? Because would like to detect if there is any anomalies in the voltage (too much voltage entering a device).

Thanks.

Hi,

Additional info. The reason I think ZMPT101B can work is because I found specs that it can support Linear range of 0~1000V 0~10mA. The info is from here: ZMPT101B | Best Small Size AC Voltage Sensor

So I am assuming it is safe to read AC voltage of usually around 250V but can actually spike up due to unforeseen circumstances.

Thanks.

Hi, newbie here.

If you are a newbie you shouldn't be doing any high voltage work. Regardless of how safe the device is a lack of experience working with high voltages is very dangerous. I would not recommend doing this.
