Help me please. I was trying to make a cnc board with 4 A4988 drivers. The Arduino is powered by a separate unit. For the drivers I am using a 12 volt 5 amps power unit. Just to be safe I want to use a fuse. Could anyone suggest me how to connect the drivers to power and also what fuse should I be using? I am a noob at making stand alone projects.

Seriously, fuses are for protecting devices from overheating and catching fire. They can never protect electronic devices, if that is what you are thinking. A fuse may take 1/2 second to open and long before that your electronic device is dead.
If you are trying to protect the power supply, then use a 5 amp fuse.
