Using Relay (how to wire)

i have this

I understand where the following pins go

GND to GND
IN1 to a digital pin
IN2 to a digital pin
IN3 to a digital pin
IN4 to a digital pin
VCC to a 5V source

My question is I have a 12VDC 1A power source that I want to use for my motor...arent the three pins on the relay (NO, NC and COM) used for the power and ground for the motor? If so, how does the motor get powered from the power source?

12volt positive to COM
N.O. to motor+
motor- to 12volt negative.

What about NC? Thank you

N.C. would be left unconnected.
