Using serial write to write to MySQL or similar?

I have made a basic temperature monitor for my workshop, but to be different I have used a servo as a dial rather than an LCD screen etc. I want to be able to remotely monitor the temperature, as it will be plugged into a 24/7 PC USB is fine, there is no need for ethernet etc.

Is it possible to write to mySQL using serial write?

Is it possible to write to mySQL using serial write?

No. It is possible to use Serial.print() to send data to the serial port. There needs to be an application on the PC that listens to the port and knows hoe to write to a MySQL database.
