Using TCRT5000L for distance measurement

Hello,

I recently bought some TCRT5000L sensors. How would I use it to calculate distance? I can't seem to find any examples on how to do this.

Any help would be appreciated.

These are optical IR reflective sensors. They are adequate for line follower robots or obstacle avoidance. For distance measurement you should rather use ultrasonic sensors like HC-SR04 or Time of Flight sensors (like VL53xxx).
