I’m re reading the ‘offending’ article, and I just don’t get what the outrage is about.
Maybe it's saying the guy's "lying" when, at worst, he's got it wrong.

It's a place where someone can wish multitudes to get and disease and die, horribly, of it - that's where we all are.
You informed the moderators, that is the correct course of action. Starting a public thread about it, not so much. Not because it's wrong, but because it won't accomplish anything.

@tmkane, sorry that you have this experience with the forum. I hope you find friendly people elsewhere. There is a Arduino section at StackExchange and at Reddit.
Someone could have a bad day, it happens. When I look at myself, then my English is often clumsy. In my native language are go-in-between-words to make it sound friendlier, but I don't know how to do that in English.
On this forum we are used to look at large pieces of code, schematics and datasheets and there is a lot of knowledge. You are always welcome to ask a question. Most of the time you don't have to skate zig zagging to avoid the
