Using the forum courtesy and respect and violation

The following response came to one of my postings looking for HM-10 help (network . . .

I think one sloppy word is not worth starting a separate topic about this.

The advice given is good. Take heed of it, and generally, avoid Instructables.

Agree

@tmkane

The point is that this is a technical forum, the participants are not focused on how to compliment each other, but on solving the issue.

@tmkane ,

I understand your concern but posting in Tutorials doesn't really help. I've moved this to General Discussion. Please select the forum category more carefully.

Thank you.

I did inform admin. one sloppy word is more than merely "sloppy".

I’m re reading the ‘offending’ article, and I just don’t get what the outrage is about. :scream_cat:

Maybe it's saying the guy's "lying" when, at worst, he's got it wrong.

Are we in kindergarten or in the Arduino forum here?

It's a place where someone can wish multitudes to get and disease and die, horribly, of it - that's where we all are.

You informed the moderators, that is the correct course of action. Starting a public thread about it, not so much. Not because it's wrong, but because it won't accomplish anything.

O no, it went further.
A moderator removed the "lying" sentence, but it got a bit grim again: https://forum.arduino.cc/t/hc-05-hm-10-command-problems/1088820

@tmkane, sorry that you have this experience with the forum. I hope you find friendly people elsewhere. There is a Arduino section at StackExchange and at Reddit.
Someone could have a bad day, it happens. When I look at myself, then my English is often clumsy. In my native language are go-in-between-words to make it sound friendlier, but I don't know how to do that in English.

On this forum we are used to look at large pieces of code, schematics and datasheets and there is a lot of knowledge. You are always welcome to ask a question. Most of the time you don't have to skate zig zagging to avoid the :poop:

Sometimes I really regret that there are no dislikes on the forum
