Hello I've been working on a project that involves an Ultrasonic sensor measuring the height of an empty box the height of the box is about 40 cm with a 12 cm width, I put the ultrasonic on top of it but the ultrasonic sensor hit the 30 cm before reaching the actual height. I think its because of the width of the beam from the ultrasonic, Is there a way to adjust the width of the beam? what should I do?
I'm missing the link to the hardware used. Do you really think that every ultrasonic sensor has identical behavior?
You realize the sound is bouncing off all the sides and some of it bounces from side to another side! What was in the course material? This response is to help you get started in solving your problem, not solve it for you.
