Im having an issue with AVRDUDE trying to burn a bootloader on Attiny 85 using UNO as a programmer. I tried two different genuine UNO boards and a bunch of Attiny85. I tried three different cables with the same result. I also tried 1.6** versions of Arduino. Finally I tried another laptop with Windows 7 with the same result. UNO works fine on both laptops and I can upload a sketch or bootloader on UNO however when I try to use one UNO to program another Im getting exactly the same message. A couple of years ago I used one of UNOs to burn bootloader on nano clone using Windows 8 and I did not have any problems. I wander if there is some incompatibility between Windows 7 and 10 and AVRDUDE.
No, it was not in the instruction that I tried to follow but I just tried with both UNO boards and got the same avrdude error message on both WIN7&10.
