Using wires instead of a breadboard

Hello
i was wondering is soldering or connecting wires straight from the Arduino to four or five sensors directly possible? i need to fit it around a the inside of a pot where i had holes and gaps for each. its between two pots placed one inside the other so theres not alot of space and it cant be on a large flat breadboard.
thankyou!

soldering directly is possible (and better from a connexion standpoint). The role of the breadboard is for ease of use / prototyping.

Wires with soldered connections are much better than a breadboard for long-term use. Much easier to do if you buy an arduino board without headers.

ah okay thankyou! i just sent in 3D print models so i had a mini heart attack when i realised i needed more than one small breadboard to prototype.
