Using Xfinity Remote to Trigger Event

Hi,

I am new to the community. I am working on a TV hide and am using a MKR WiFi 1010. I would like to use the power button from my Xfinity X5 remote to act as an input to change state of my device to execute moving the picture from in front of the TV and then push the TV out for viewing.

I am using the Aim Anywhere functionality so I can put my Xfinity box in a cabinet out of sight.

I have been unable to find a thread on how you can do this when the Xfinity remote is in RF mode.

I am using the MKR WIFI 1010 so I can also do this via Amazon Alexa, but would like to have multiple triggers for the code to run.

Can anyone help?

In general, when using "Aim Anywhere" (RF) technology on the Xfinity remote... how does it also control the TV power, volume, input and also a soundbar power and volume?

Is there a "back door" way I can get a digital or analog signal from the xfinity box? Like by using the IEEE 1394 output?

Any ideas is appreciated.

It appears the TV I am wanting to hide has a RS232 port. I will use that to query the TV if power is on and use the response to trigger the system. This thread can be closed/archived.
