USPS just jacked intl shipping 3 times!!!

I used to be able to ship "first class international" but now they won't allow that anymore. A simple 2 oz (55g) package is no longer acceptable because it doesn't contain only document. A $3.xx charge goes up to $9.xx. It's frustrating. I think that USPS or US in general is excellent at screwing with its own people. Not to mention all the lost package searches go nowhere and no insurance money every paid out. USPS is a big fraud with a capital F.

how much does ups charge to ship international.?

The last time i checked usps was loosing money...

Two ounces (55g) first class to half world across $13.50, just across northern bordar, $9.

Here is an article I found on stamps.com

Apparently it's international postal union related.

Expect more shipping price increases especially China to USA. See links for backgrounder.

Seems fair ^

Noticed quite a few Chinese suppliers are swapping to drop ship...Better time frames for delivery thats for sure.

Seems fair ^

Agreed! I buy some electronics from Chinese companies but I do not expect US Postal Service and US taxpayers to subsidize my shipping.

I read that article not long ago. It all makes sense. USPS loses 75M$ annually to foreign shipping, a large portion must be these Chinese packages. That must be the entire reason for the (much amplified) 5.6B$ annual deficit. Common emitter current gain beta ~1,000. I'd use USPS in any of my radios!
