i have used the arduinos using Ethernet shields so that i can use online NTP servers to keep the date/time accurate on my system and to allow for a nice web based user interface. i am looking to create a "universal count down clock" that will do the following.
count down to: xmas, Halloween, thanksgiving, Easter, valentines day, fourth of July. the user will also be able to add a bunch of "custom" count downs like "anniversary" or something. each "holiday" will have its count down display for 20 or so seconds and will display the years, months, days, hours, and seconds until the time occurs. after the 20 or so seconds, it transitions to the next count down. this obviously means i have to have very accurate time keeping so the count down is accurate. all of my previous projects have always used the DS1307 based RTC chips.

now that you know what i want to do, i will ask my question, will using the LCD screen with the UTFT library and the Ethernet library at the same time cause issues? if the user is loading a web-page, no code will be executed that controls the screen and vise-verse, so i do not think there will be an issue, but i am not sure.

i am aware that using the ethernet shied will cause the LCD shield to not fit directly on-top of the Arduino/Ethernet stack, but i was simply going to use jumper wires to get around that.
if anyone knows for sure if the LCD library and ethernet library can be used at the same time, that would be greatly appreciated.
