Hi All,
I'm looking for help with using an arduino to control a mains powered vacuum when it senses that a mains powered saw is switched on.
My view of the hardware/Arduino/software could be this:
-
A home made torridal tube coil with the positive supply to the saw running though it.
-
The Arduino senses the current draw (the saw motor initally draws 8+A@240V)
-
The Arduino then switches a relay - which then powers the vacuum
-
When the saw power is released the Arduino continues to power the relay for e.g. 10 seconds
-
An overide switch would be able to power the relay without the saw being started.
Any thoughts and help would be most welcome.
