Variable not declared in this scope.

Hi:
I’m trying to learn how to use IR receiver and IR LED. I’m getting the code from StackSkills lectures. The first experiment with the code uses a very simple circuit. I’ve loaded the IRremote zip file and put it in the Arduino library. I then put in the following code.

/*
 * IR Remote: IRrecvDemo
 * demonstrates receiving IR codes with IR recv
 * an IR dectector/demodulatore must be connected to the input RECV_PIN
 * Copyright 2009 Ken Shirriff
 * Version 2.x
 * http://arcfn.com
 * /
 #include<IRremote.h>
   int RECV_PIN = 11;
   IRrecv irrecv(RECV_PIN);
   decode_results results;
  */
  void setup() {
  // put your setup code here, to run once:
  Serial.begin(9600);
  irrecv.enableIRIn();//Start the receiver
}

void loop() {
  // put your main code here, to run repeatedly:
  if(irrecv.decode(&results)){
    Serial.println(results.value,HEX);
    irrecv.resume();//Receive the next value
  }
  delay(100);
}

With this code, I get an error on compiling that the irrecv variable is not defined in this scope. The error appears in the irrecv.resume() statement. Can you help?

#include<IRremote.h>
   int RECV_PIN = 11;
   IRrecv irrecv(RECV_PIN);
   decode_results results;
  */

You have commented out this important section of code

Thanks.
