variation on a respiratory effort belt

Hello,

I want to create a variation on a respiratory effort belt (to be used for non-medical purposes), similar to this one:

The device I wish to emulate (and create a variation on) goes around your waste and responds to the pressure (on the piezo) resulting from inhalation and exhalation.

I am thinking about ordering either a Flexiforce Pressure Sensor or a piezo vibration sensor from "Sparkfun" and an arduino (I am thinking Arduino Uno).

The next step is to have the arduino power a small motor when the pressure on the piezo (e.g. the amount of inhalation as measured by the piezo) has not exceeded a certain amount for a specified period.

Any suggestions are welcome.

Ive actually seen a type of sensor that is elastic and is semiconductive in a manner that as it streches the resistance goes up. Perhaps that would be another option as it is really simple to integrate Srry i dont recal what it exactly called,

Can you suggest a way to program the arduino so that it creates vibration only when the pressure on the piezo has not exceeded a certain amount for a specified period (say, 10 seconds).

This example displays a vibration whenever pressure is applied to the piezo.
