Hi All,
I want to build Variometer for my RC sailplane.
With Variometer I do not have problems any more , but still a question how to send sound form plane to me in the ground?-I presume range would be up to 1000m.
Please be so kind and advise me what transmiter/reciver shall I use. Because already have Arduino Uno+ lot of Atmega 328 I would like to stay with this platform , but this is not mandatory.
This project lists some Tx/Rx pairs that worked out for him.
Out of curiosity, is your vario a single sensor design or a TEK total energy that compensates for speed?

Hi,
I am going to use single sensor - to be more specific BME280. The accuracy is approx +-0,5m with delay 0,3s. For me it is en ought since I do not expect any sensitivity , rather only indication about lift.
