Varistors free to good home

Hello all. I've recently bought a job lot of electronic bits and pieces. Most of which I I have a use for. However there's also a load of varistors. I have no use for!! Free to good home. Would be good for a club or colleague due to quantity

Collection only from warminster wiltshire UK . I'll try to put some photos up soon

Have a great day. Simon

As promised

My first thought was for you to put them in an envelope and post them, but then I saw that you have 1000 (or is it 1500?) of them! Yikes!!! Varistors are only used in a surge protection capacity in very specialised circuits. I can't think of anyone who would be able to use that many. I belong to a club where many different electronic circuits are frequently built, but I think that they (even one or two) would never be used. I will ask for you on Monday and, if they are wanted, will make arrangements (by PM) to collect them. I suspect, however, that my fuel costs (London to Warminster and return) will exceed their value to the club.

Thanks for the reply. Henry_Best It does seem like they are going to end up at the local recycling centre.

Simon,

Thanks very much for the offer, but even the electronics bods at the club are not interested. In fact, one even suggested that the best place for them is the dump, due to their propensity to catch fire for no apparent reason.

See if you can find an artist interested in doing E-waste sculpture or something. Varistors are relatively "pretty", as electronics components go... |412x500

Thanks for the suggestions I think bar a small assortment for the odds and ends box they are going to the dump. Next time I'll ask some questions before bidding on job lots. However I got my money's worth with the other stuff :-) Simon
