VarSpeedServo moving too fast

Trying to run this simple code but the first move goes at full speed (with or without 'true').

After reading other posts, I assume this is the current version of VarSpeedServo and the one I am using by Philip van Allen found here: https://github.com/netlabtoolkit/VarSpeedServo

I started with a version by Korman I found at https://forum.arduino.cc/index.php?topic=61586.0, (which had this problem plus additional problems).

What's wrong?! Thanks.

#include

VarSpeedServo myservo;

void setup() {
  myservo.attach(9);
  myservo.write(95, 33, true);
  delay(2000);
  myservo.write(180, 33, true);
  delay(2000);
  myservo.write(95, 33, true);
  delay(2000);
  myservo.write(180, 33, true);
}

void loop() {
}

(I hate to muddy the issue, but how does one know which version of libraries are being used by the IDE? The library manager says 'version unknown')

VarSpeedServo can't calibrate it's speed until it has a known position to go from. When you first attach the servo it has no way of knowing if it's already at the first position you ask it to go to or if it's as far away from there as possible. There's not really anything you can do about that with a standard hobby servo.

If the servo has feedback so that you can tell exactly where it is current positioned then that would be different. But there aren't many servos like that.

Thanks for your answer. I guess I pretty much wasted another day researching and testing... I need to ask for help earlier in my troubles!

...And do you happen to know the answer to my other question at the bottom of my post?
