Hi all ,
Just an observation really...
I’m using standalone 328pu chips and I program them up using an old Arduino to which I’ve fitted a zif socket.
I’m using 1.85 of the IDE and using a USBtiny I install the bootloader ( setting board as UNO). Most of the time I get a verification error ( which I tend to ignore)
If I restart the PC it may load without an error. Today I noticed if I change the board type to say “tiny”, the bootloader immediately fails ( no surprise) . If I then switch back to the UNO board, the bootloader uploads without errors.
Wondered if this a known feature ?
