What experience have you had using these SIMs for SMS text? I am developing a security system for a driveway gate. Do messages go through quickly and reliably? Does their website have a user friendly interface? Do they have good support?

SMS guarantees neither quick nor reliable. That's fundamental to the technology - not a feature of a particular providers service.
SMS messages can get delayed and lost.
