Have a toy snake to rise out of basket about 8 in. Plan on using fishing line attached to cylinder within cylinder, as line pulled inside cylinder rises (is inside snake). Will a stepper motor be the best for this? Snake weighs less than 8 oz. line attached to spool and will need to unwind the same distance.
Would use linear actuator but that length too pricey.
True, it is really expensive.
A stepper connected to a threaded rod would work, otherwise don’t use a stepper.
Suggest you use a 360 servo as the motor, can go forward/reverse/stopped.
Pump air into a narrow, plastic bag.
Will need the servo to turn fairly fast so that snake gets up in 3-5 sec. I suppose if I attach a large spool to the servo would work. Thanks for suggestion
