Very simple question - printIn

Ok so I am using this code:

/*
 * Hello World!
 *
 * This is the Hello World! for Arduino.
 * It shows how to send data to the computer
 */

void setup()                    // run once, when the sketch starts
{
  Serial.begin(9600);           // set up Serial library at 9600 bps

  Serial.println("Hello world!");  // prints hello with ending line break
}

void loop()                       // run over and over again
{
                                  // do nothing!
}

Where can I see the output of the print function? God it feels embarrassing to ask :-X

Serial Monitor, answered my own question :-?

Not a stupid question, but mine is: what is a serial monitor, and how do I use it?

I too want to print stuff to my computer but there seems to be no tutorial on how to do it.

This page shows the icon you click to activate the serial monitor: http://www.arduino.cc/en/Guide/Environment

Set the Serial speed (baud rate) so its the same value you have in the sketch's Serial.begin

All the text sent to Serial.write should appear on the monitor.

have fun!

"HELLO WORLD" It's alive!

Whoo-hoo! This is fun stuff! Can you tell I'm new to this?

I've got LEDs blinking and text coming from the micro that I can read on my computer!

Now, on to making robots.
