Vibration Motors + frecuency/amplitude

Hello guys, im new to arduino and i want to start a project with vibration motors.

Which will be a good approach to handle the amplitude/frequency of the motor ?

Amplitude and frequency? Its just a DC motor.

Do you mean control/modulate the speed?

for instance, Android API offers a Class to control the phone's vibration -> Vibrator  |  Android Developers

Looks like you can control the strength and duration of the vibration.
I want to build something similar with arduino.

Most cell phone vibrators or pager motors are a small DC motor with an offset weight.

Easy enough to control with an arduino. You can control the duration. You can control the speed.
