Hi, I am trying to study on using a vibration sensor like this one.
My goal is to use this sensor with arduino to break a circuit of a motor when it gets to receive a certain vibration threshold so that the whole system of a machine can be safely stopped, therefore, preventing any phisical damage of a machine when it goes wrong, by sensing the vibration of a machine.
Hi, I've been thinking about how to use this vibration sensor to break AC motor power supply.
This is what I came up with.
The relay shown in the drawing is this.
So basically, I need to break the AC power connection when the vibration sensor triggers the N-Channel MOSFET, as a result, converting the normal close to normal open.
Is this method workable?
Will this breaking method stop the motor only for a moment when the vibration sensor gets the maximum threshold?
Also, I am still wondering how should I connect this vibration sensor.
the specification of this sensor indicates two sides of polary and it confusses me a lot.
Hi, Please take a look at this drawing.
This circuit could only break the power supply of the AC motor when the vibration sensor detects vibration. So, the AC motor will be activated and go on when there is no vibration.
but I need to stop the AC motor even if the vibration takes place for once. Can anyone advise me how it can be acheived?
