Victor 884 Speed Controller

Does anyone know the proper way to interface the Victor 884 Speed Controller with the Arduino? I've heard several different accounts regarding how the Arduino's PWM does not work properly with the Victor's PWM but how would one get around this problem?

I have tried using it and it seems that the range of 0 to 255 from the arduino does not apply to the victor's range of 0 to 255. Why is this?

Any help is greatly appreciated!!

control it using the servo library. 90 degrees is off, 0 is back, 180 is forward. you didnt happen to get it from a f.i.r.s.t. kit of parts did you?

I'm not on a FIRST team but the speed controller did come from FIRST
