Video camera test

I picked up a video camera from the side of the road that's obviously fallen off the side of a truck of something. The mounting is busted, but the camera itself looks undamaged.
It's cable has the following cores: Red, Black, White, Yellow and screen.

Is there anything that can sensibly be done with an Arduiuno with it, and is there a quick way to test it. (Or is this RPi territory?)

It'll be composite video - not even the RPi has composite input.

You could try a Video Experimenter shield if they're still available.

Interesting. Thanks.
Have just been reading up (though not got very far yet #shameful) but I'm wondering whether a camera module from an old laptop might be more viable?

My kid wants a bird box camera, and I haadn't any plans to do it soon, but it just occured to me it might be a cheap easy project ... if those ever exist.

The colors of the wires usually identify their functions, such as power, ground, video, and audio. wifi cams are inexpensive now, so that might be an easier and more economical solution doe an outdoor cam setup.

Is the lens still on the camera? I kept the lens from the two I threw in the garbage.

This makes a pretty good bird box cam: Buy a Raspberry Pi Camera Module 2 NoIR – Raspberry Pi The camera is about 30 USD. I'm using it with an RPi Zero W.

Boreal chickadee.

Thanks all.
The lenses looks intact but I've yet to figure out how to split the housing.
The Noir looks a good option.
